A special edition of - Guide to Law on Free Access to the Information of Public Importance prepared by Commission for Information of Public Importance department will be issued in "Official Gazette RS" by the end of this week.
A number of citizens and media representatives have addressed the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance regarding problems that can be summed down to the question - Is the one who seeks information of public importance obliged to pay a fee for certain expenses?
Regarding the notification of a certain number of media representatives that some government bodies, upon requests to access certain information, demand that they prove the interest, that is, to explain the reasons for their interest the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic made the following statement:
Today the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance Rodoljub Sabic signed protocols on cooperation with Prof. Vladimir Goati and Prof. Zoran Lucic, chairmen of the board of the nongovernmental organizations Transparentnost - Srbija and CESID. The cooperation aims to advance free access to information, development o a mechanism to exercise the right and promotion of enjoyment of this right by all citizens.
