President of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia appointed the first and the second regular cessions of the Parliament for 8th March. Vesting an assent to acts on founding and organization of the Commission for Information of Public Information department was not included in the order of these cessions. With reference to this the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic made the following announcement:
Citizens, media and NGOs address Commission for Information of Public Importance pointing out that certain Government authorities deprive access to public information due to the fact that Commission for Information of Public Importance has not issued the instruction according to the law.
With reference to the Supreme Defense Council's decision to withdraw the state secret code from the special purposes military object “Karas” in Topcider, as well as with reference to open questions regarding the status of Branislav Puhalo, a member of the Army of Serbia and Montenegro, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance was addressed by a number of journalists from various media. Rodoljub Sabic the Commissioner for Information made the following statement:
The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance states that it is very important that the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia puts on its order and passes the necessary changes to the Law on Public Information without delay.
It is especially important to intervene in the Article 101 of the existing Law. This article states the due date after which the printed publications financed from public income are to cease their work. With reference to this the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic made the following announcement:
