Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has evaluated as upsetting the relationship which the Government of Serbia has, during proposing the budget for 2006 showed in relation to the conditions of work of the institutions performing anti-corruption capacities.
Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has pointed out in his letter addressed to the Government of the Republic of Serbia, that in a short term, after the Proposal of the Police Act, another Law has entered the procedure of the National Assembly, which has been proposed by the Government of the RS, and the solutions presented in it are contravening the solutions of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Interest.
Commissioner for Information of Public Importance , Mr. Rodoljub Sabic and Ms. Virginia Juan, Head of Media Department of the OSCE's Mission in Serbia and Montenegro, have spoken today about further cooperation in implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Interest.
Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has evaluated that it is necessary that the MPs in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia should intervene by amending the Article 5 of the Proposal of the Police Act, make it more clear and precise, and eliminate possibility to, even indirectly, neglect certain solutions contained in the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Interest.
