Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has today in Medveđa participated in the work of the Panel on Free Access to Information, organized by the Regional Information Agency JUGpres and Center for Democracy and Development of the South of Serbia.
The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance addressed a letter today to all presidents of Serbian municipalities, alerting them to the obligations of public authorities under the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance.
Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has been recently contacted by a large number of media representatives and citizens showing interest for problems in relation to access to information contained in the Contract on Sales of RTB Bor to the Rumanian company CUPROM.
The Commissioner for information of public importance has submitted today to the National Parliament of the Republic of Serbia the report about the implementation of the law on free access to information of public importance in 2006. The Commissioner, Rodoljub Sabic, stated on this occasion: ''As foreseen by the law, the Report covers both the activities of The Commissioner for information and the activities of other government agencies in the implementation of the law.
