A public debate titled "Key Findings of Annual Reports of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and the Ombudsman from the Aspect of Local Community" will be held on Wednesday, 1 October 2014, at the hall of the Municipal Council of Vranje at 12PM.

Such debates will be organized in 4 more Serbian cities (Zajecar, Novi Pazar, Kikinda and Kragujevac) to provide an opportunity to a wider circle of authorities, the media and primarily citizens in local communities to give their opinion on the key findings in annual reports of the two independent authorities for protection of human rights.

The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection ordered by a decision to the City Administration of Belgrade to inform organization "Transparency Serbia" within maximum 5 days whether it holds the following documents regarding the building in Karadjordjeva 48 Street ("Belgrade Cooperative" building): documents which show who is the owner and who is the user of the building, the basis for the use of the building and who was the investor for refurbishment of this building in 2014; a construction permit and other licences necessary for works on refurbishment of the building; decisions, licences and contracts in connection with refurbishment works on the road infrastructure in front of the building and documents regarding payments for those works, and to send those documents to the requester if it holds them.

Rodoljub Sabic, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, received today a group of representatives of residents of 100 and 102 Mileve Maric Ajnstajn Street in Dr. Ivan Ribar community.

In his letter sent to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection Rodoljub Sabic warned about the poor situation in the field of personal data protection and the need to prevent unfavourable consequences of such situation on human rights, the EU integration process, Serbia's international relations, work of public authorities and economic development.
