The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection estimates the quality of the Draft Chapter 23 Negotiations Action Plan (available on the website of the Ministry of Justice), at least in terms of ​​free access to information and personal data protection, to be significantly below expected and required level.

The Commissioner estimates that the adoption of the document to this effect would sooner or later have a negative impact on the course of negotiations with the European Union and, more importantly, on the exercise and protection of the rights of Serbian citizens guaranteed under the Constitution and the law. In this regard, the Commissioner has stated the following:

The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection has in a letter to Zagorka Dolovac, Republican Public Prosecutor, brought up the case of the interview, which was conducted at the police station in Trstenik at the request of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office on the grounds of the allegations of Mario Spasic, Secretary General of the NGO - the Council for Monitoring, Human Rights and Fight against Corruption – Transparency, during which he was, among others, asked the question: "Have you used the benefits under the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance to impede the work of the school and file false reports?"

The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection said important, commendable and useful that availability of information on relief to victims of disastrous floods has improved.

The official website of the Ministry of Finance now also includes information on the current balance and the total amount of funds paid to the account of the Ministry since the collection began, with separately presented amount of payments made through mobile telephony operators, while the official website of the Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief provides information on awarded government relief which, when cross-checked against the figures published by the Ministry of Finance, seem to indicate that the funds have not been used for any payments other than those made through the Office.

The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection ordered by a decision to the City Administration of Belgrade to inform the Network for Restitution in Serbia - Citizens Association for the Restitution of Confiscated Properties "Belgrade" in Belgrade within five days of the receipt of the decision whether it holds information or documents which show the number and outcomes of resolved cases relating to the sites included in the "Belgrade Waterfront" project and to send copies of those documents to the requester if it holds them.
