Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković are participating in the 48th Plenary Session of the Consultative Committee of the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data("Convention 108"), which is being held from 17 to 19 June at the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg. The session will discuss current issues in the implementation of this convention and ways to handle them. The members of the Committee are representatives of the authorities engaged in personal data protection in countries parties to the Convention.

Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković participated in the International Conference "Quantum Technologies: Threats, Challenges and Opportunities for Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection" in Krakow, Poland, from 11 to 13 June, and the 27th Meeting of the Central and Eastern European Data Protection Authorities, which will discuss the eventual need to amend regulations on personal data protection at both the European and national levels to comply with the increasing personal data processing using modern technologies.

Commissioner Milan Marinović, Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković, and Acting Assistant Secretary General Dragana Stojković participated in the work of the Special Working Group for the preparation of the text for the amendments and supplements to the Personal Data Protection Law, at a meeting held from 4 to 6 June 2025 in Zrenjanin. The topic of this working group meeting was personal data processing by competent authorities for special purposes.

Due to great interest and the previous training held in April, where the number of registered participants exceeded the capacity of the hall, a training was held again in the Great Hall of the Misdemeanor Court in Belgrade on Thursday, May 29, 2025, custom-made for Information Officers on the topic - Free Access to Information of Public Importance, Legislation and Practice.

The training was held by the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Milan Marinović, and the Acting Assistant to the Secretary General - Sector for Complaints and Enforcement in the Field of Access to Information of Public Importance, Slavoljupka Pavlović. This training, which aims to familiarize Information Officers with the current legal solutions in the Republic of Serbia and to train them for the proper implementation of the Law, was carried out as part of the Commissioner's further efforts to bring the area of ​​access to information of public importance closer to the widest possible circle of persons from state authorities and the judiciary in the city of Belgrade. Special attention was paid to the increasingly evident abuse of the right to access information of public importance and measures to overcome this problem.

The training was again attended by around 80 Information Officers from various public authorities.

In the coming period, due to great interest, the Commissioner's Office plans to hold more training courses tailored for Information Officers within the Commissioner's capacities and capabilities.
