On Thursday, June 26, starting at 11 a.m., an online workshop/lecture on personal data protection was held at the premises of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The lecture was attended by coordinators of youth offices within the project "Perspectives for young people in rural areas in Serbia". Aleksandar Kocić Ranđelović, Assistant Secretary General, Sector for Education and Certification, held this lecture. The workshop aimed to familiarize youth office coordinators with the Law on Personal Data Protection and prepare them for working with young people in their local communities.

In cooperation with the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of the Interior, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection organizes training for 400 Ministry of the Interior Information Officers.

15 trainings are planned for the coming period, and Slavoljupka Pavlović, Acting Assistant Secretary General, Sector for Complaints and Enforcement in the Field of Access to Information held the first two trainings on the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance for representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, on 24 and 26 June, at the Avala Training Center in Belgrade.

94 employees attended the trainings, and the central topic of the presentation was the handling of requests for access to information of public importance by government bodies, the mandatory content of the request, the action deadlines, and a special focus on the implementation of the tripartite public interest test and the practice of the Commissioner. The largest number of questions was about handling already published and available information, as well as individual cases.

Commissioner Milan Marinović participates in the 20th anniversary Internet Governance Forum (IGF) organized by the United Nations from 23 to 27 June 2025 in Oslo.

As part of the Forum, the Commissioner had a notable participation as a panelist on the Panel “Advancing Data Governance Together - Across Regions”. In addition to the Commissioner, this panel featured experts from Europe and Africa. The Forum has traditionally brought together several thousand participants from all over the world, primarily representatives of executive authorities, regulatory bodies, the academic community and the largest multinational and national companies (especially from the IT field), and the key topic of this year's forum is how to harmonize the increasingly omnipresent digitalization in all areas of life and all regions of the world with protection of citizens' rights, especially the right to privacy.
