Representatives of the Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Aleksandra Lakićević and Marina Grbić from the Sector for Education and Certification, held a two-day training for the staff of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office and the Basic Public Prosecutor's Offices in Belgrade.

This is the first thematic training held for representatives of competent authorities engaged in data processing for special purposes.

On June 16, 2022, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection received a written decision by The Walt Disney Company Limited & Disney DTC EM Limited, based in England and Wales, in which these companies designate their representative for the Republic of Serbia, in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection.

The representative of this company for the Republic of Serbia is the law office Petrikić & Partneri AOD, based in Belgrade, Krunska 73.

In accordance with the law, the Commissioner or another person may address this representative, besides/instead of this company, regarding all issues related to the processing of personal data, in order to ensure compliance with the provisions of this law.

Once again, the Commissioner appeals to other foreign companies that have the obligation to designate their representative in the Republic of Serbia, compliant with the Law on Personal Data Protection, to fulfill the same obligation and thus show awareness of the obligation to respect the rule of law and privacy of their users.

Today, the Representatives of the Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection Dragana Stojković, Head of the Department for Normative Affairs in the Field of Administration, Justice, Home Affairs and Security, and Marko Milošević, Head of the Department for Education, held a thematic training for Medicines and Medical Devices Agency staff to eliminate doubts in the application of the Law on Personal Data Protection and sectoral regulations. Emphasis was placed on the processing of special categories of personal data.

Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković and Acting Assistant Secretary-General Marko Antić attended the ceremonial certificate handover for the short program of studies "Legal Data Protection and Access to Information" at the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac on June 11, 2022. This is the first generation of students to acquire the title of manager of both rights under the authority of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.

The aim of this program is to raise the level of personnel expertise in the field of personal data protection and access to information of public importance, so as to systematically and detailedly get acquainted with the citizens' rights regarding their personal data protection and obtaining information of public importance which would lead to raising of efficiency and quality in the administration work, but also to greater data security of our citizens in the long run.

From the Office of the Commissioner, the lecturers on this short program were Commissioner Milan Marinović, Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković, and Acting Assistant Secretary-General from the Sector for Supervision Marko Antić.
