Start of Тwo-Week Professional Practice for Law Students
The Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection commenced a two-week professional internship, which this institution implements based on several cooperation programs with higher education institutions. This is the ninth generation of students from the Environmental Law Clinic of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and the second generation of students who applied for this professional practice through the Student Professional Practice in Public Administration Fair, and this year it also includes students from the Faculty of Law of Union University.
The opening address pointed out the importance of education and the professional development of students in this field, especially highlighting the current cooperation with the Faculty of Security Studies in Belgrade in the form of a short study program for managers in the field of personal data protection, as well as with the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac, where future managers are trained for both, access to information and personal data protection.
During the two-week practice, students will have the opportunity to learn about the application of these two Constitution-guaranteed rights, because, except for established cooperation with two named faculties, the subject matter of free access to information and personal data protection is not included in the regular programs of any faculty. In addition to acquiring this knowledge, students are given the opportunity to gain insight into the Commissioner's Office's organizational structure and way of operating.
