Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković are participating in the work of the 30th Conference of European Data Protection Authorities, which is held on 19 and 20 May in Cavtat, Republic of Croatia.
The Spring Conference is the most important forum for cooperation, strategic coordination, and data protection and privacy policies among European regulatory authorities.
On May 13, 2022, Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković held a lecture at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Belgrade for third-year undergraduate students, on the topic of Personal Data Protection and the long-term practice of the Commissioner in that field.
Commissioner Milan Marinovic, Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unkovic, Advisor to the Commissioner Rada Kovacevic, and Dragoslav Djukic from the Cabinet of the Commissioner held a meeting today with representatives of the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), the EU Delegation to Serbia, and the Ministry of Justice. The topic of the meeting was the support of GIZ within the project Strengthening the Rule of Law in Serbia. This project envisions support for the implementation of measures from the Action Plan for Chapter 23, including the measures for personal data protection.
Yesterday, Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković received students who will conduct a two-week internship with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. This is the eighth generation of students from the Environmental Law Clinic at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and the first students to apply for this internship through the Student Professional Practice in Public Administration Fair 2021/2022.
During the professional internship, students will have the opportunity to apply previous theoretical knowledge and acquire completely new skills for the profession they are studying for, and get acquainted with the working environment of this institution. On that occasion, the importance of education and professional development of students in these areas was pointed out. The current cooperation with the Faculty of Security Studies in Belgrade, in the form of a short program of studies for Managers in the field of Personal Data Protection, and with the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac, for future Managers for Access to Information and Personal Data Protection, was also specially emphasized.
A Cooperation Agreement was recently signed with the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, and it is also planned to establish cooperation with other higher education institutions in Serbia.
