The last information speak that the attitude of the Government of Serbia not to accept any additional, special conditions that the Concessee sets for acceptance of termination of the Concession Contract for highway Horgoa Pozega by mutual consent. For majority of citizens, such an attitude is in line with the state dignity and is completely clear. However, many do not find it clear - why the talks about termination of the contract by mutual consent are held at all? Let's remind us, the contract was for a long time super secret. The ministry in charge hasn't made it public not even after the order of the Commissioner for Information, and the Government, although obliged, hasn't secured execution of that order.  Just significantly later, under the public pressure, basic contract has been publicized, and after that successively, the majority of Annexes.

Judging by the things the public has in that way learned about contractual obligations, the Concessee hasn't fulfilled even single one, and he hasn't even provided a guarantee. That would have to suffice for unilateral termination, and still talks are held about termination by mutual consent, and the Concessee is even stating publicly conditions that seem almost as blackmailing. What is the basis of that arrogant attitude? Can one eliminate doubt that the basis is in omitting some (to public unknown) obligation on our side? That however, reminds us that due to unknown reasons, contents of several Annexes are still unknown to the public. And it is high time that they should be revealed, because even without the quoted doubt, it would be good to confirm as indisputable, the principle that use of public goods and money must always be subject to public control.  Rodoljub Sabic, Commissioner for Information
