The Commissioner for Information of public importance and the protection of personal data Rodoljub Sabic, considers there to be a very unfair way in which the Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic, when presenting the draft budget for 2011. presented a position group of independent national institutions. Stating that such an act of the Minister is not in the interest of objective information of the public, nor in the interest of fair relations of the government ministries and independent bodies, the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic said the following:
“The Minister of Finance and the institution I represent, the Commissioner for Information of public importance and the protection of personal data allocated to the group of independent institutions (SAI, Public Procurement, Information Commissioner, Ombudsman, the Agency for anti-corruption, the Constitutional Court, SASA the Commission for the Protection of Rights and the Commissioner for Equality), which according to her words caused "very significant increase in the budget. " The truth is, it should be noted that the percentage of budget increase of Trustees is significantly lower than the percentage of increase in the budget in general, lower than the average increase of budget users, less than the planned percentage of inflation and even among independent institutions are likely minimal.”
However, I do not react so much because of the institution that I represent as much as for other independent institutions such as, for the example, the Protector of citizens or by the the Agency for anti-corruption, because, as a direct result of statements of the Minister of Finance in some media, of their budgetary positions represented as enormous, even multiplied, which also is not true.
In this way, the Minister of Finance would deliver a false public image of the total position of independent supervisory bodies."
