Today, the Commissioner for information of public importance, had talks in Novi Sad, with the President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, Mr. Bojan Pajtic, about implementation of the Law on access to information of public importance in Vojvodina.
In their comprehensive talks, they paid special attention to the problems in electronic presentation of information, and agreed about permanent co-operation aimed at overcoming such problems.
On that occasion, Mr. Rodoljub Sabic, the Commissioner, said:
„The Executive Council of Vojvodina is among few state bodies that complied with their legal obligation within the deadline and published the Information Guide about their work, including Internet presentation. It is good that the President of the Executive Council demonstrated his personal concern about compliance of the whole administration structure in the Province. I believe our agreement reached today will result in favourable effects.
We agreed that every Secretariat in the Province, that has not yet published its Information Bulletin, should meet this legal obligation as soon as possible.
We also agreed to intensify further co-operation between the Secretariats of the Province and the Commissioner's office. This co-operation has two main objectives. Firstly, to identify and implement appropriate standards, in order to insure contemporary and quality information about the work of the authorities in the Province. Second, to implement additional training programs with the people from the authorities of the Province, who are directly involved in implementation of the Law on access to information of public importance. “
