Representatives of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection took part in the 14th conference of state bodies responsible for personal data protection in Central and East Europe, held in Kiev (Ukraine), on May 21-22, 2012.

Many issues regarding personal data protection in the Central and East European states were discussed at the event, particularly from the point of view of expected changes in the most important international documents pertaining to personal data protection.

Particular attention was given to the issue of video surveillance usage in sports events since Ukraine, together with Poland, is the organizer of this year's European Football Championship.

A unanimous decision was passed at the event that the next, 15th conference of state bodies responsible for personal data protection in Central and East Europe, be held in Serbia, in May 2013.
