The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection received on January 14, 2021, a written decision by Oath Inc. (a company within the Verizon Communications Group) based in the USA, whose business includes a portfolio of digital platforms for products and services under the Yahoo! brand, in which this company appoints its representative for the Republic of Serbia, in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection.

The representative of this company for the Republic of Serbia is the Law Office Karanović & Partners, based in Resavska 23 Street, Belgrade.

In accordance with the law, the Commissioner or another person may address this representative, besides/instead of Oath Inc. company, regarding all issues related to the processing of personal data, in order to ensure compliance with the provisions of this law.

Once again, the Commissioner appeals to other foreign companies that have the obligation to appoint their representative in the Republic of Serbia, in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection, to fulfill the same obligation and thus show awareness of the obligation to respect the rule of law and privacy of their users.
