The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection had a meeting today with Director of the Office of the National Security Council, Goran Matic, and a group of his associates.
After security checks in accordance with the Law on Data Confidentiality, the Director of the Office of the National Security Council presented certificates for access to secret data to a group of the Commissioner's associates.
Now 20 associates at the Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection have certificates to access secret data with two highest confidentiality degrees – "state secret" (2 associates) and "top secret" (18 associates).
As part of efforts to ensure the best possible references for associates in the Commissioner's Office for effective work and handling both secret documents and personal data protection, six Commissioner's associates have recently acquired the status of auditors, which is the highest certification degree for ISO 27001 - information security.
