REVIEW

of Activities of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance

and Personal Data Protection in October 2019

  1. Case Statistics ;

             In October 2019, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 1161 cases, including:       

  • 417 cases in connection with freedom of information,
  • 950 cases in connection with personal data protection,
  • 133 cases relating to both spheres of competence and operations of the Commissioner’s Office.

A total of 3.535 pending cases were carried forward from the previous period (3276 – freedom of information, 194 – data protection, 65 – other cases).

            A total of 1076 cases were resolved during this month (461 -  freedom of information, 487 – data protection, 128 – harmonisation of the law and regulations).

            There are 3.959 cases pending (3.232 – freedom of information, 657 – data protection and 70 - harmonisation of the law and regulations).

            According to the available call records, 2.473 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of freedom of information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
