REVIEW

of Activities of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance

and Personal Data Protection in November 2018

  1. Case Statistics

 In November 2018, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 918 cases, including:  

  • 370 cases in connection with freedom of information,
  • 434 cases in connection with personal data protection,
  • 114 cases relating to both spheres of competence and operations of the Commissioner’s Office.

A total of 3.539 pending cases were carried forward from the previous period (3.055 – freedom of information, 428 – data protection, 56 – other cases).

            A total of 1098 cases were resolved during this month (474 - freedom of information, 492 – data protection, 132 – harmonisation of the law and regulations)

            There are 3.359 cases pending (2951 – freedom of information, 370 – data protection and 38 - harmonisation of the law and regulations)

            According to the available call records, 2695 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of freedom of information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
