In cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, the Commissioner's Office organized two trainings for the Association of Housing Managers from Belgrade on October 21 and 23. The immediate cause for this training was the information from the inspection supervision procedures over these entities, where irregularities in their work were observed, and which were often repeated. Accordingly, the need was recognized to raise awareness among this target group focusing on several important topics.
In cooperation with colleagues from the Sector for Supervision, lecturers from the Education Sector introduced the attendees, using concrete examples, to the basic provisions of the Law on Personal Data Protection, the application of this regulation, and regulation on building maintenance and private security. The main topics were using video surveillance in housing communities, publishing lists of tenants and debtors, publishing pictures and recordings on Viber groups, and the risks of using applications designed to facilitate communication between managers and tenants. During and after the presentation, a lively discussion took place in which the problems in the day-to-day work of managers were clarified and numerous doubts in this target group behavior were resolved.
